Yesterday, 20th May we had a very pleasant opening event in Ta Phin at the new Community House! We introduced the project to the media and to the local authorities, who promised to help to promote the village and the project. We started with a traditional ceremony at 8am with a prayer and after the oficial presentation we had a wonderful lunch sponsored by Victoria Hotel and also some local food prepared specially for the event.

The “Red Dao” just planted sweet patato in the garden and they really enjoyed it!
Due to the weather (high temperature) the medicinal plants’s plantation was posponed!
This week we are covering the ceiling with local wood and styrofoam to protect from the humidity.

Opening Event of a Green Community House (designed by renowned architect Mr. Hoang Thuc Hao) and a Conservation Garden (designed by landscape architect Ms. Vania Lopes) in Ta Phin in Northern Vietnam. RED Dream Project is hosting a day of Red Dao culture and festivities in Ta Phin, Sapa. This event will provide an opportunity for the project’s supporters to learn about Red Dao culture and to witness their generous contributions come to life. The project titled “RED Dream project”, will benefit Red Dao people and will have a lasting impact on poverty reduction among ethnic minorities by providing an extra source of income for people living in a poor neighborhood.
The event will take place on May 20 at the Green Community House, Ta Phin, Sapa. Victoria Sapa Hotel is going to be the exclusive sponsor.
